Welcome to the Brooklyn Digital Learning Academy, an innovative hybrid learning option featuring both in-person and remote learning formats. Staffed entirely by Brooklyn City Schools certified staff and educators, the Brooklyn Digital Learning Academy provides students the District’s engaging curriculum and programming opportunities while meeting their unique learning needs. The Brooklyn City Schools ask all interested to make the commitment to the BDLA for a full semester. We’re confident that when you do, your student will have a top-quality educational experience in an emotionally and physically safe environment. The Brooklyn Digital Learning Academy is a prime example of the District’s commitment to Tradition, Pride, and Excellence.

Application Process

  • Open to District students in grades 10-12; options will be available to 9th graders with permission by the principal
     

  • Interested students and families should complete the application by clicking the link below and submit to the High School principal
     

  • Once the application is completed and submitted, correspondence will occur between families and the Brooklyn City Schools

Overview

  • Hybrid Learning Option (In-Person Half Day Session and Remote Learning Half Day Session)

  • Open to students in grades 10-12 and those possessing grade level learning aptitudes

  • Instruction delivered by Brooklyn City Schools certified teachers and staff

  • Physically and emotionally safe learning environment

  • Same curriculum offered to students in traditional classroom setting

  • Access to elective courses and Polaris Career Center

  • All credit recovery courses will be available through the BDLA

  • Intervention Specialist will be available during both sessions of the BDLA

  • Flexible schedule / Provides opportunity to work 

  • Career and College Transition Planning through certified BHS School Counselors
