Social Media Policy Guidelines

Brooklyn City Schools social media accounts are intended to be used as a communication tool of the district. The district’s social media accounts will operate as a friendly forum where kindness and respect are shown towards the BCSD community, including students, staff, and community members, at all times. Please review the list below for terms and conditions of which you consent to by posting on the district's social media accounts:

  • No harassment, bullying, or discriminatory content will be tolerated;
  • Users must follow terms and conditions of each social media platform;
  • No solicitation;
  • Employees and students must not violate school policies while posting on the page;
  • The district is not responsible/liable for third party posts;
  • All posts should be considered public;
  • The sharing of private educational or health information of students or staff is prohibited;
  • The district reserves the right to remove posts, suspend or ban access to third parties who do not follow the terms and conditions listed above.
